MIN-Corps is proud to announce the advancement of 3 MN-based teams to the NSF National I-Corps in just the first quarter of 2026.
FemtoTime, PolarPure, and T3Flow will all be advancing as National I-Corps Teams this year. MIN-Corps is proud to be part of such an active regional hub as part of the Great Lakes Region.
Meet the Teams:
Femtotime:
Femtotime has developed tools that achieve clock alignment with sub-picosecond precision over kilometer distances, including a technology capable of measuring time differences between digital signals with 100 femtosecond accuracy—an interval shorter than the width of a human hair. Precision timing is increasingly essential in particle physics experiments, particularly for measuring time-of-flight and distinguishing events within the same bunch crossing. A major challenge is distributing a perfectly synchronized clock across detector systems.
Polar Pure:
Polar Puren is focusing on NADES, a class of green solvents, with unique properties. The capabilities have a wide range of applications ranging from de-icing and anti-icing capabilities as well as favorable cryopreservation behavior.
T3Flow:
T3Flow is an innovative medical device concept emerging from the University of Minnesota's Earl E. Bakken Medical Devices Center, designed to address a critical unmet need in the treatment of heart attacks caused by large coronary artery thrombus.
